Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive advancement strategy including annual giving, major gifts, capital campaigns, and endowment growth
  • Solicit, steward, and cultivate alumni, parents, faculty, and foundations
  • Create annual and multi-year strategic fundraising plans with emphasis on metrics and KPIs
  • Work with the Head of School and Board of Trustees to identify philanthropic priorities
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the Advancement Office, including donor communications and database management
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of signature events such as reunions and donor receptions
  • Serve as a public ambassador for the school to build external relationships
  • Contribute to schoolwide planning and strategic decision-making as a member of the Senior Administrative Leadership Team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7–10 years of senior-level experience in advancement, fundraising, or development
  • Demonstrated success in major gift fundraising, annual funds, and campaign management
  • Strong strategic planning and financial acumen
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in independent schools, higher education, or nonprofit educational institutions preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (e.g., M.A., MBA, M.Ed.)
