Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a comprehensive advancement strategy including annual giving, major gifts, capital campaigns, and endowment growth
- Solicit, steward, and cultivate alumni, parents, faculty, and foundations
- Create annual and multi-year strategic fundraising plans with emphasis on metrics and KPIs
- Work with the Head of School and Board of Trustees to identify philanthropic priorities
- Provide leadership and oversight to the Advancement Office, including donor communications and database management
- Oversee the planning and coordination of signature events such as reunions and donor receptions
- Serve as a public ambassador for the school to build external relationships
- Contribute to schoolwide planning and strategic decision-making as a member of the Senior Administrative Leadership Team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7–10 years of senior-level experience in advancement, fundraising, or development
- Demonstrated success in major gift fundraising, annual funds, and campaign management
- Strong strategic planning and financial acumen
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Experience in independent schools, higher education, or nonprofit educational institutions preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (e.g., M.A., MBA, M.Ed.)
