Chief Accountant

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial records in compliance with IFRS and local tax regulations
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
• Support budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis
• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of the accounting staff
• Optimize accounting systems and ERP tools to improve process efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Proven experience in a senior or supervisory accounting role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo, NetSuite)
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced or growing organization
