Chief Accountant

Responsibilities

• Guide, mentor, and oversee a team of accountants to ensure optimal performance and precision
• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures in adherence to IFRS
• Compile and deliver accurate financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements
• Oversee precise calculations of landed costs, including freight, customs, and insurance
• Track short- and long-term cash flow forecasts and prioritize disbursements
• Coordinate sales tax filings and facilitate year-end audits with internal and external auditors
• Assist senior management with financial insights, variance analysis, and profitability assessments
• Lead or assist in ERP implementation and process automation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position
• Experience in FMCG, Pharmaceutical, or Manufacturing industries
• Extensive knowledge of landed cost accounting and inventory management
• Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems
• Strong background in financial reporting, internal controls, and audit preparation

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field
• Professional certifications such as CMA
