Chief Accountant

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and account reconciliations
• Supervise and support the accounting team in their daily operations and professional development
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and local regulatory requirements
• Monitor cash flow, operating expenses, and financial performance
• Coordinate internal and external audits and provide necessary documentation
• Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant role within a hotel or hospitality environment
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and IFRS standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• Experience working with accounting and ERP systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA
