Chemist

Responsibilities

• Build knowledge of paint and coatings chemistry and formulation
• Execute testing methods and quality control using statistics software
• Learn and build understanding of commercialization, product, industry, and segment knowledge
• Build expertise in project management and report out on results and findings
• Create and foster relationships with the global supply chain and gain knowledge of plant operations
• Build cross-functional partnerships with Marketing, Operations, and Technical Services to execute innovation strategy

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (must be completed by the start of the program)
• Minimum overall GPA of 2.8
• Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
• Willingness to relocate for the training experience and post-program position

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM)
• At least one year of work experience in a quality control/assurance lab or R&D
• Previous experience working in a team-oriented setting (work, extracurriculars, or military)
• At least one year of experience managing projects
