Chemist

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analysis on products including crude oil, fuel oils, middle distillates, petroleum, petrochemicals, LPG, and LNG gases
• Conduct hands-on bench work and operate Gas Chromatograph and other laboratory equipment
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laboratory safety and reporting techniques
• Provide guidance and training to Laboratory Technicians
• Ensure high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all reporting

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of direct transferable laboratory experience
• TWIC certification required
• Knowledge of ASTM standards
• Ability to work with chemical, petrochemical, and petroleum products
• Ability to accurately differentiate colors by sight
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related science field
