Chemist - Production

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing fill processes for medical and industrial gas cylinders under GMP conditions
• Maintain compliance with all external regulatory agencies including FDA, DOT, EPA, OSHA, and DHS
• Process gas cylinders using established plant guidelines and maintain inventory of empty and full cylinders
• Operate and maintain process equipment and interface with maintenance technicians and vendors
• Perform visual and physical tests on cylinders to determine if retesting or repairs are required
• Complete and maintain quality control documentation in accordance with company and governmental procedures
• Support safety and quality departments by following all established safety protocols and training requirements

Requirements

• Four-year technical degree with an emphasis in chemistry and math, or equivalent industry experience
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and ability to read and write legibly
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and roll cylinders weighing 200+ lbs
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions throughout the year
• Ability to work flexible hours with varying start and end times
