Chemist

Responsibilities

• Work on the development of innovative board materials within the Core Products Innovations Gypsum Boards department
• Further develop existing manufacturing processes for glass fiber mat-encapsulated boards to meet future challenges
• Perform standard laboratory activities including sample preparation, analysis, and chemical/physicochemical investigations
• Mix materials and conduct investigations on gypsum boards and support plant trials
• Document and communicate findings to appropriate stakeholders
• Adapt, introduce, and optimize processes for the development and production of new gypsum-based board products for outdoor use

Requirements

• Completed training as a Materials Scientist, Chemist, Chemical Technician, Chemical Laboratory Assistant, or comparable qualification
• Professional experience in gypsum board production or glass fiber mat manufacturing is an advantage
• Structured and independent working style with strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in standard PC software
• Clear communication skills in German and English
• Willingness to undertake occasional international business travel
