About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, adapt, validate, and implement new analytical methods for specimen potency and contamination using GC/MS, HPLC/MS, LC-MS/MS, and ICP/MS.
  • Analyze and document specimens and proficiency test survey samples according to ISO17025 guidelines within a laboratory information system.
  • Maintain assigned instrumentation, including daily maintenance, calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage the receipt, logging, and secure storage of specimens and controlled substances.
  • Monitor and track laboratory supplies, including temperatures, gases, and chemicals, and report findings to supervisors weekly.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of laboratory testing principles, terminology, and techniques.
  • Skill in the use of laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Must pass a security background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • One or more years of professional laboratory experience.
  • Experience working within ISO17025 guidelines.
