Chemist and Assistant Site Manager

Responsibilities

• Receive, identify, and analyze incoming hazardous waste
• Manage waste transit priorities and stock rotation in coordination with the site manager
• Prioritize receptions based on planning evolution
• Make decisions regarding yard organization and container management
• Verify quality and safety of received shipments
• Sort and sample waste for analytical follow-up
• Direct waste to appropriate treatment channels
• Identify and isolate non-conformities and associated risks
• Perform basic chemical analyses required for waste treatment
• Recondition and group products according to characteristics
• Manage stocks and perform manual handling using appropriate equipment
• Ensure communication between the operations and laboratory departments
• Handle administrative tasks related to site activity

Requirements

• Minimum Bac +2 degree (BTS/DUT Chemistry)
• 5 years of experience, including significant experience as a team leader
• Strong analytical skills and operational mindset
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Proficiency with IT tools
• Interest in environmental issues
• Experience in the waste management sector is a plus
