About the role

Responsibilities

  • Test a wide array of materials including adhesives, elastomers, polymers, tapes, composites, and metals for compliance with drawings and specifications
  • Work in a wet lab environment following all safety procedures and common lab protocols
  • Write scientific reports using generated data to support technical dispositions
  • Utilize specialized equipment such as FTIR, DSC, hardness gauges, and mechanical testing machines

Requirements

  • University Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Materials Engineering or Chemical Analysis
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain an interim U.S. government issued Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical specifications
  • Understanding of material testing and analysis, including hardness, adhesion tests, sample preparation, and cross-sectioning
  • Experience performing and managing high-volume, highly technical work
