Chemical Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise multiple chemical process equipment to ensure stable and continuous production
• Adjust and optimize chemicals interacting with the manufacturing process
• Perform comprehensive maintenance on equipment and chemical systems to ensure reliability
• Ensure safe operation and compliance with safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical and process-level problems
• Identify process losses and efficiency issues and develop improvement suggestions
• Participate in training new employees on operational and safety rules
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, specifically working with hazardous materials
• Strong knowledge of chemical processes, material properties, and interactions
• Experience operating various equipment such as washers, wastewater treatment, soluble oil systems, water filtration, or cooling towers
• Ability to diagnose and solve complex technical problems
• Experience with preventive maintenance, including lubrication and parts replacement
• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree in chemistry or a related engineering field is preferred
• Basic computer literacy and strong analytical skills
