Chemical Technician

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations by staging and moving materials using forklift, pallet jack, or by hand
• Prepare tanks, load and unload bulk materials, and perform compounding/transferring activities
• Stock materials, obtain samples, change filters, label, package, and load finished product
• Record data accurately and maintain required paperwork and spreadsheets
• Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures to maintain a clean work environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent manufacturing experience
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to stand for several hours
• Willingness to use a respirator when required
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, including short-notice requests
• Strong attention to detail, dependability, and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience
• Forklift or yard truck experience
• EHS, quality, or hazardous materials training
• 1-2 years of chemical manufacturing or related experience
