Chemical Production Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of compounding and resin operations, including manufacturing, process, systems, and quality.
• Ensure safe operations by identifying and resolving unsafe acts and conditions within the unit.
• Resolve operational difficulties and provide technical problem-solving to eliminate nonconforming materials.
• Debottleneck production to increase run rates and achieve targeted production costs.
• Develop and implement capital projects to support improvements in compounding.
• Track and communicate key performance measurements including yields, costs, reliability, and quality metrics.
• Support ISO, RCMS, and VPP requirements and serve as an internal auditor.
• Design and document screw profiles to provide optimal product run rates and physical properties.
• Perform required safety audits, JSAs, and participate in incident investigations.

Requirements

• BS in Chemical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in using statistical analysis and techniques.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Strong planning, organizing, and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
