Chemical Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the scale-up of new resins from R&D to production
• Monitor and troubleshoot processes to improve uptime, capacity, cost performance, and yield
• Recommend equipment and process redesigns to meet safety, quality, and production goals
• Lead continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects
• Create and revise SOPs and other technical documentation
• Collaborate effectively with R&D, production, and maintenance teams
• Investigate equipment requirements for new resin development

Requirements

• BS in chemical engineering or an equivalent engineering field
• 2-3 years of experience working in a medium-scale chemical facility
• Independent self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail
• Hands-on approach with a willingness to work across disciplines to solve problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft products and 2D/3D CAD programs
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safe practices in chemical manufacturing
• Experience with polymers, oligomers, and polymerization
• Exposure to automation, packaging lines, or mechanical and electrical plant engineering
