Chemical & Pharmaceutical Technologist

Responsibilities

• Operate multi-purpose reactors (100 - 1000 L steel-enamel Büchi reactors), ranging from manual to PCS7 automated systems
• Perform chemical reactions involving highly reactive reagents, including distillations, extractions, and filtrations
• Conduct basic laboratory tasks such as pH measurements, thin-layer chromatography, and drying loss analysis
• Execute assembly and disassembly of valves and lines, as well as minor maintenance work
• Manufacture peptide and non-peptide (LPPS) compounds on a 20 – 150 kg scale under GMP and non-GMP conditions

Requirements

• Completed vocational training or at least 3 years of professional experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry
• Practical experience in chemical synthesis and operating multi-purpose reactors
• Experience working within a GMP-regulated environment is highly preferred
• Willingness to perform physical labor and manual assembly/disassembly tasks
• Availability to work in a 3-3-3 shift system (3 early, 3 late, 3 days off)
• Knowledge of PLS (PCS 7) or MES (PAS-X) is an advantage
