Chemical Operator

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and package products in conformance to plant quality and safety standards
• Prepare batches, drum products, and operate process equipment such as flakers or grinders
• Run two or more pieces of process equipment simultaneously
• Maintain accurate physical and electronic inventory using established methods
• Uphold HSE policies, including proper material storage, handling, and housekeeping
• Participate in and lead plant improvement projects
• Report all safety incidents and near misses and participate in investigations
• Complete required annual and operator progression training

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to learn and demonstrate strong work ethics
• Proficiency or ability to learn the SAP system for production transactions
• Understanding of RCRA plant waste handling and shipping requirements
• Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), safe work practices, and environmental regulations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for inter-departmental interaction
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize changing needs
