Chemical Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot plant processes and equipment
• Perform day-to-day operations including sampling, forklift driving, and HMI interaction
• Analyze plant parameters such as temperature, pressure, pH, and flow to respond to deviations
• Operate equipment including holding tanks, centrifugal pumps, heat exchangers, and kilns
• Perform routine product sampling and verify results
• Remedy unsafe conditions and report hazards
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure effective communication

Requirements

• Basic working knowledge of chemical plant operations and process equipment
• Ability to follow procedures precisely with strong situational awareness
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to work up to 12 hours in a PAPR
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders in a multi-level industrial facility
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work safely around industrial equipment and chemicals

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in chemical plant operations
