About the role
Responsibilities
- Control equipment systems that process chemical substances into specified products
- Operate process equipment including reaction systems, filters, storage tanks, reactors, pumps, PLC, chillers, compressors, and pressure vessels
- Monitor and record chemical and physical property changes and compositional changes
- Draw product samples and conduct quality control tests
- Load and unload raw materials, intermediates, and finished products
- Inspect and maintain operating units such as scrubbers, centrifuges, or driers
- Regulate or shut down equipment during emergency situations
- Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a chemical manufacturing facility or other industrial plant
