About the role

Responsibilities

  • Carry out production operations in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner following established procedures and plant quality standards.
  • Operate chemical processing equipment including reactors, feeders, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and scrubbers.
  • Conduct DCS navigation, troubleshooting, and operations to safely control the process.
  • Perform inspections, checklists for pollution control devices, and site safety inspections for fire extinguishers and eyewash stations.
  • Maintain accurate batch and shift paperwork, including digital operations forms for material transfers and loading.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as fork trucks, yard tractors, and track mobiles for spotting rail tank cars.
  • Perform minor service maintenance and prepare equipment for scheduled maintenance.
  • Work 12-hour rotating shifts (DuPont Schedule) between days and nights.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent education.
  • Knowledge of chemical processing equipment and DCS navigation/troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and basic PC skills for electronic communications.
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
  • Experience operating fork trucks and yard tractors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working at a chemical manufacturing facility.
  • Knowledge of 49 CFR Hazardous Material Regulations.
  • Experience with MMRP and CMMS transaction systems.
