Chemical Laboratory Leader

Responsibilities

• Operate the management system under ISO 17025
• Oversee the operations workflow and processes of the testing laboratory
• Lead the team to perform tests under appropriate test requirement(s) and terminology
• Perform new chemical test development including machine specification, method validation, and SOP creation
• Review chemical test results, reports, SOPs, WIs, and datasheets
• Conduct failure analysis and improve laboratory operation processes
• Manage purchasing of reference standards and calibration equipment
• Deliver training to chemical testing teams and other departments

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry or related subject
• 4-5 years of experience in a testing laboratory
• 1-2 years of management or supervisory experience
• Proficiency in managing instruments such as AAS, GC/MS, LC/MS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and UV-VIS
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 17025 and accreditation requirements
• Knowledge of toy, consumer products, or food contact article safety standards
• Expertise in measurement uncertainty estimation and method validation
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
