Chemical Laboratory Assistant/Chemical Technician: RnD Analytics T&N

Responsibilities

• Analyze raw materials, flavors, and finished products, with a focus on volatile aroma substances
• Support flavor matching and reconstruction through sample preparation, profile comparisons, and result interpretation
• Perform instrumental analysis using GC-MS and HPLC, including independent evaluation and documentation
• Conduct supplementary analytical methods for the characterization of new flavors (master data analysis)
• Operate, perform routine checks, and assist in the maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Ensure and maintain quality-relevant measures in daily laboratory operations
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary projects within the Competence Center

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Assistant, Chemical Technical Assistant, or a comparable qualification
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in laboratory operations
• Sound theoretical and practical knowledge of chromatography, specifically GC (preferably GC-MS) and/or HPLC
• Structured, independent working style with strong organizational skills and reliability
• Proficiency in MS Office 365
• German and English language skills at a B2 level

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with flavors, aroma chemicals, or natural raw materials
• Interest and enthusiasm for flavors, their composition, and their effects
• Experience collaborating closely with R&D teams
