Chemical Engineering Professor

Responsibilities

• Establish, sustain, and grow a world-class research program that aligns with the department's research strengths.
• Contribute to the teaching mission through undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical engineering.
• Maintain a high level of scholarship through independent and collaborative research efforts.
• Engage in institutional service and service to the professional community.
• Mentor research trainees and support the long-term mission of the department, college, and university.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in chemical engineering or a closely aligned field.
• For Associate Professor rank: Proven track record of significant experience and accomplishments in the area of expertise.
• For Full Professor rank: National distinction, international recognition, and a substantial scholarly record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Evidence of leadership and collaboration in both research and education.
• Published research expertise in fields related to chemical engineering.
• Potential to establish an externally funded research program.
• Ability to mentor research trainees and teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
• Strong and effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
