Chemical Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in refinery operations, process engineering, environmental compliance, and refinery economics.
• Work within specialized areas such as Process/Technical Service, Operations Research, Environmental Engineering, or Products Control/Economics.
• Perform process engineering calculations and develop test runs to optimize refinery operations.
• Assist in developing planning, blending, and scheduling models to optimize production.
• Support environmental compliance through process calculations, physical surveys, and wastewater treatment projects.
• Analyze refinery process flow data to identify equipment failures and optimize operating decisions.
• Develop professional written and verbal presentation skills in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• Currently majoring in Chemical Engineering.
• Concurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking program.
• Strong academic performance.
• Authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Availability for multiple work terms (Spring, Summer, or Fall).
• Military experience.
