Chemical Engineer Fall Intern

Responsibilities

• Work with R&D professionals on process technology developmental projects
• Participate in process safety management activities and reviews
• Perform lab work including the design, construction, operation, and optimization of lab-scale unit operations such as reactors, filters, ovens, mixers, and pumps
• Support multiple projects through data analysis, recordkeeping, and data sharing
• Contribute to team meetings and conference calls
• Ensure safe handling of chemicals and safe operation of chemical processes

Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at the time of assignment
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or a similar field

Preferred Qualifications

• 3.0 GPA or above
• Previous industrial or academic experience with chemical processes such as reaction engineering, thermodynamics, titration, filtration, and distillation
• Experience working with chemicals
• Hands-on experience building laboratory setups
