Chemical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe handling of chemicals and the safe operation of all plant systems
• Maintain the long-term technical performance of chemical, washer, and wastewater systems
• Drive process standardization, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Oversee quality control checks to ensure compliance with product quality standards
• Manage chemical storage, including proper handling and accurate inventory levels
• Support maintenance activities, including washer system cleaning and probe calibration
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to optimize equipment

Requirements

• Higher education or technical qualification in chemical engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience focusing on chemical processes
• Strong knowledge of chemical process control in continuous manufacturing environments
• Experience with wastewater treatment (WWT), water treatment, and washer systems
• Familiarity with equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of lean and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience in chemical inventory management and storage
