Chemical Analyst

About the Company

At SGS, we analyze minerals, ores, metals, and concentrates for clients worldwide. Our large Minerals lab in Spijkenisse consists of 5 specialized laboratories, each with its own expertise, working in a collaborative and engaging team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analyses according to established procedures
• Interpret physical and chemical analyses and associated data
• Perform first-line controls and take action where necessary
• Support maintenance, calibrations, and equipment checks
• Maintain instrument logbooks
• Correctly process and archive analysis results
• Work in a 2-shift rotation (06:00-14:30 and 14:00-22:30) with occasional weekend shifts

Requirements

• MLO diploma level 4 or higher
• Experience within a chemical laboratory
• Experience working with acids and chemicals
• Proficiency in Dutch and English
• Accurate, independent, and a team player

• Salary between €2,600 and €3,500 gross per month (based on 40 hours) and experience
