Chef Tutor

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, deliver, and evaluate inspiring and individualised food preparation sessions for young adults with learning disabilities.
• Support students professionally and sensitively to help them develop hospitality skills and independence.
• Manage student behaviour professionally and effectively, seeking guidance when appropriate.
• Record, evidence, and evaluate student progress using the principles of RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement).
• Maintain high professional standards in food preparation in line with hotel menus.

Requirements

• Level 4 certificate in Education (or equivalent/higher).
• Level 2 in English & Maths.
• City and Guilds Hospitality and Catering Level 2 (or equivalent).
• Proven experience working in a hospitality catering setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in vocational education.
• Experience working within a team setting.
• Food Hygiene certificate.
• Knowledge of allergens.
• Experience working with children or young vulnerable adults.
