Responsibilities

• Assist Chef de Cuisine in all aspects of kitchen operations
• Act as a coach, mentor, and trainer to culinary employees
• Serve as restaurant chef as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operation
• Ensure food is prepared on time and according to specifications
• Maintain cleanliness guidelines for kitchen production, walk-ins, and storage areas
• Supervise employees to achieve assigned tasks according to kitchen standards
• Communicate guest comments and concerns to the Restaurant General Manager
• Manage daily inventory and ordering processes with the Executive Chef

Requirements

• Culinary degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 4 years of culinary management experience
• At least 2 years of experience in a luxury hotel or multi-outlet restaurant
• Proficient knowledge of high-volume production and purchasing
• Strong knowledge of food handling, safety, and restaurant guidelines
• Proficient in various cooking techniques including baking, grilling, and sautéing
• Excellent time management and leadership skills
• Ability to work in wet, hot, and humid conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish language proficiency
• Experience in guest-facing roles
