About the role
Responsibilities
- Cook from scratch with local ingredients and develop new recipes
- Plan and develop menus for cafeteria and catering events
- Establish and implement food preparation schedules
- Prepare and direct the preparation of various food items including meats, fish, and desserts
- Lead, coach, and train kitchen staff
- Manage administrative and financial duties including ordering and budget adherence
- Ensure compliance with FoodSafe, ServeSafe, and all health and safety regulations
Requirements
- 5 years of recent food service industry experience leading high-volume teams
- Serve Safe and Food Safe certification
- Experience with cost control and employee management
- Proficiency in English; French is an asset
- Ability to use POS equipment and related software
- Strong organizational and communication skills
