Chef

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals consistently and efficiently in a high-volume environment
• Support the kitchen team to maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
• Assist with stock management, ordering, and general kitchen operations
• Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu execution and service improvements
• Mentor junior kitchen staff and contribute to a positive, professional team environment

Requirements

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher) recognised in Australia
• 2–3 years of professional chef experience
• Valid Food Safety Certificate and strong knowledge of HACCP and WHS requirements
• Valid National Police Clearance obtained within the last 12 months
• Full working rights in Australia
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and drug & alcohol screen
• Physical fitness and resilience to work 10–12 hour days in remote environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in bulk cooking within high-volume kitchen environments
• Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 Certificate
