About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality, nutritious meals consistently and efficiently
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
- Assist with stock management, ordering, and general kitchen operations
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu execution and service improvements
- Mentor junior kitchen staff and contribute to a positive team environment
Requirements
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher) recognised in Australia
- 2–3 years of professional experience as a qualified chef
- Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Full working rights in Australia
- Valid National Police Clearance issued within the last 12 months
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment and Drug & Alcohol Screen
- FIFO experience in a high-volume kitchen environment is highly desirable
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Coal Board Medical
- Standard 11 Certificate
