Chef

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality, nutritious meals consistently and efficiently
• Support the kitchen team in maintaining food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
• Assist with stock management, ordering, and general kitchen operations
• Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu execution and service improvements
• Mentor junior kitchen staff and contribute to a positive team environment

Requirements

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher) recognised in Australia
• Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience as a qualified chef
• Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and WHS requirements
• Full working rights in Australia
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and drug/alcohol screen
• Valid National Police Clearance within the last 12 months
• FIFO experience in a high-volume kitchen environment is highly desirable

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Coal Board Medical
• Standard 11 Certificate
