About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and mentor floor staff to ensure service excellence
- Manage dining room operations including table assignments and reservation coordination
- Ensure compliance with service standards, presentation protocols, and quality criteria
- Train new and existing staff on service procedures and menu knowledge
- Act as the primary contact for customer concerns and special requests
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for smooth service execution
- Maintain health, safety, and hygiene regulations in the dining area
- Manage dining room supply stocks and communicate needs to the manager
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in hospitality, with at least 2 years in a floor role
- Mastery of service standards
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Proficiency in POS systems and restaurant management software
- Knowledge of wines, beverages, and menu offerings
- Fluency in French and English
- Physical ability to stand for long periods
