About the role
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests, presenting menus and offering food and beverage recommendations
- Take accurate orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen and bar
- Serve food and drinks with precision and adherence to fine dining standards
- Anticipate guest needs and ensure requirements are met throughout the meal
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and allergens
- Assist with wine service, including opening and pouring
- Clear tables, reset sections, and maintain cleanliness and organization
- Handle guest inquiries and special requests with professionalism
- Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house staff
- Process payments accurately and efficiently
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef de Rang in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel
- Exceptional knowledge of fine dining etiquette and service standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Excellent memory and attention to detail
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Impeccable personal presentation and grooming
- Knowledge of wine and spirits is highly desirable
