About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure consistency in the preparation of all food items for buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standards
- Offer professional, friendly, and proactive service while supporting fellow colleagues
- Maintain proper rotation of products in all chillers to minimize wastage and spoilage
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Follow all kitchen policies, procedures, and safety/sanitation standards when handling food
- Actively participate in daily shift briefings and share ideas for improvement
- Liaise with Outlet Chefs to maintain open communication regarding feedback
Requirements
- Previous experience in the culinary field is required
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Highly responsible and reliable with a focus on guest needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in a culinary discipline
- Literacy in Microsoft Windows applications
