About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, and present high-quality desserts, pastries, breads, and confectionery items
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the pastry section
- Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation according to company standards
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal specials
- Supervise and guide Commis and junior pastry staff
- Maintain hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness as per HACCP standards
- Control food cost, minimize waste, and manage stock levels
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and equipment
- Coordinate with other kitchen sections for smooth service operations
Requirements
- Experience in pastry and confectionery production
- Ability to supervise junior kitchen staff
- Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
- Ability to manage food costs and stock levels
