Responsibilities

  • Prepare, bake, and present high-quality desserts, pastries, breads, and confectionery items
  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the pastry section
  • Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation according to company standards
  • Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal specials
  • Supervise and guide Commis and junior pastry staff
  • Maintain hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness as per HACCP standards
  • Control food cost, minimize waste, and manage stock levels
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and equipment
  • Coordinate with other kitchen sections for smooth service operations

Requirements

  • Experience in pastry and confectionery production
  • Ability to supervise junior kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
  • Ability to manage food costs and stock levels
