About the role
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of your assigned kitchen station during service
- Prepare and cook menu items to recipe standards and quality specifications
- Supervise and guide Commis chefs and kitchen helpers at your station
- Ensure mise en place is complete and the station is ready before each service
- Monitor portion control, waste management, and stock levels at your section
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in a professional kitchen
- At least 1 year of experience at CDP level
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques relevant to the assigned station
- Proven ability to lead and motivate junior kitchen staff
- Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in Asian or Hawaiian cuisine is an advantage
