About the role
Responsibilities
- Receive and prepare à la carte orders (cold dishes, meats, fish, etc.) ensuring quality and timing
- Review daily specialties and execute preparations according to instructions
- Prepare and supervise mise en place including cuts, sauces, and special ingredients
- Supervise and assign tasks to cooks and assistants to ensure standards are met
- Control area stock and report low rotation or replenishment needs to the Head Chef
- Perform shift handovers communicating completed tasks and observations
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety (SST) standards
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in professional kitchens
- Technical degree in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts or equivalent
- Proven leadership and ability to motivate kitchen teams
- High attention to detail regarding inventory and quality control
- Effective communication skills for team coordination
