About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the Head and Sous Chef in a busy kitchen delivering consistently high-quality food
- Handle purchase orders and ensure unauthorized items are not received
- Manage daily food preparation and duties assigned by superiors
- Coordinate daily tasks with the Sous Chef
- Supervise junior chefs and interns
- Ensure production, preparation, and presentation of food meet the highest quality standards
- Maintain highest levels of guest satisfaction and manage food costs
- Follow standard procedures for food preparation, receiving, storage, and sanitation
- Adhere to preservation standards and proper temperature handling
- Maintain hygiene, safety, and correct use of equipment and utensils
- Consult daily with Sous Chef and Executive Chef on requirements and events
- Collect daily feedback and report issues as they arise
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in the same role
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Knowledge of food preparation, storage, and sanitation procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Michelin star experience
