Chef de Partie

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present meals to a high standard in alignment with hotel menu cards and brand standards
• Manage and maintain the buffet throughout service periods, ensuring food quality and adequate levels
• Supervise kitchen team members, assigning responsibilities and checking performance periodically
• Monitor and control stock to reduce wastage and manage food and beverage costs
• Assist the Head Chef in ensuring all culinary standards comply with company policy and food safety regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with the Food Safety Plan and OH&S guidelines
• Handle guest enquiries and complaints in a professional and efficient manner

Requirements

• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
• Proven experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
• Valid food service permit or health/food handler card
• Advanced verbal and written English communication skills
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry loads (up to 15kg+), and perform repetitive movements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a luxury boutique hotel or high-end restaurant setting
• Strong knowledge of stock control and inventory management processes
