About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and production of high-quality pastry items, desserts, and plated sweets
- Support the Pastry Chef in daily pastry operations, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation
- Prepare and maintain mise en place efficiently to ensure smooth and timely service
- Follow established recipes and presentation standards
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in line with HACCP and food safety regulations
- Ensure proper stock rotation and assist in monitoring inventory levels within the pastry section
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen and service teams for restaurants, banquets, and events
- Handle guest dietary requirements and special dessert requests with care
Requirements
- Technical skills in pastry production
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced culinary environment
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
