About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare, produce, and present a variety of food within a specific kitchen section according to standard recipes.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with the daily buffet programme and Rixos Hotels' presentation standards.
- Adhere strictly to HACCP guidelines and personal hygiene procedures to ensure food safety.
- Manage section inventory by informing supervisors of required materials and storing food correctly.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the workstation and storage areas.
- Control food portions and minimize waste to support environmental and cost-efficiency goals.
- Support other kitchen sections and assist the Steward Supervisor in upholding hygiene standards.
Requirements
- High school or vocational diploma.
- At least 8 years of practical culinary experience.
- Expertise in cooking techniques and products related to your specific department.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety management systems.
- Technical expertise in advanced cooking methods and work processes.
