About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, produce, and present a variety of food within a specific kitchen section according to standard recipes.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with the daily buffet programme and Rixos Hotels' presentation standards.
  • Adhere strictly to HACCP guidelines and personal hygiene procedures to ensure food safety.
  • Manage section inventory by informing supervisors of required materials and storing food correctly.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the workstation and storage areas.
  • Control food portions and minimize waste to support environmental and cost-efficiency goals.
  • Support other kitchen sections and assist the Steward Supervisor in upholding hygiene standards.

Requirements

  • High school or vocational diploma.
  • At least 8 years of practical culinary experience.
  • Expertise in cooking techniques and products related to your specific department.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety management systems.
  • Technical expertise in advanced cooking methods and work processes.
