About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the culinary team and chef trainees to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, menu planning, and staffing
- Oversee inventory, supplies, and quality control of fresh ingredients from farm partners
- Organize prep lists, deployment boards, and prep schedules to ensure seamless service
- Maintain stringent kitchen safety, sanitation, and storage protocols in compliance with health standards
- Collaborate with the Chef Operator on labor and food costs, ordering, and facility management
- Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff performance
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading a culinary team in a high-volume setting
- Strong culinary expertise and passion for quality, scratch-made food
- Ability to perform physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and organizational abilities
- High attention to detail and reliability
