About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee all culinary operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Manage financial success, including ordering, receiving, and inventory control
- Produce weekly schedules based on budget and forecasted numbers
- Maintain and promote proper food safety and handling protocols
- Contribute to the creation of fresh and innovative daily specials
- Actively participate on the service line as required
- Oversee daily kitchen closing and cleaning procedures
Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent work experience
- ServSafe certification
- Proficient knowledge of purchasing and high-volume production
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques (baking, grilling, sauté, etc.)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in wet, hot, and humid conditions
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of management experience in a hotel restaurant or culinary environment
- Spanish language skills
