Responsibilities

• Participate in the operational medical management of the Emergency Department in both intra- and extra-hospital (SMUR) settings
• Lead a care unit and coordinate clinical activities in collaboration with hierarchy
• Perform medical acts and ensure effective communication with the medical team and nursing staff
• Inform patients and their relatives regarding medical status within professional secrecy limits
• Manage and update medical records and ensure proper billing of services
• Actively participate in training and supervision of medical interns
• Contribute to research and the development of emergency medicine

Requirements

• Federal medical degree or equivalent recognized by MEBEKO
• Specialty title in general internal medicine, surgery, or anesthesiology (or equivalent)
• Solid clinical experience in a high-volume university emergency department
• Proficiency in French (C1 level required for non-Francophones)
• Strong communication, synthesis, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a 24/7 service including shifts and on-call duties

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialty certificate or university title in emergency medicine
