About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 5-10 designers responsible for cockpit aerostructure design and systems installations for the A220 program.
- Ensure cockpit design (primary/secondary structures and systems installations) meets technical requirements, customer needs, and manufacturing constraints.
- Coordinate team activities, set priorities, and ensure deliverables meet cost, quality, and schedule targets.
- Monitor team performance using key indicators such as OTD, OQD, and EVM.
- Provide technical expertise to resolve non-conformities and assembly line issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster team cohesion.
- Interface technically with customers and suppliers, and participate in change management with supply chain and production teams.
- Report on technical progress, risks, and impact analyses to program management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in aerostructure design.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for primary and secondary structures and systems installations.
- Familiarity with airworthiness requirements (TCCA, FAA, EASA).
- Proficiency in CATIA and ENOVIA.
- Bilingualism in English and French (written and verbal).
- Strong communication, project management, and change management skills.
