Responsibilities

• Manage the Galley in an efficient and effective manner
• Ensure timely delivery of quality meals to guests and crew as per the menu plan
• Maintain product quality, presentation, food safety, and consistency
• Implement and maintain safe working practices

Requirements

• At least 3 years experience within a commercial kitchen
• Understanding of food cost and portion control
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent personal presentation
• High level of customer service and passion for food
• Experience in day to day running of a kitchen/galley
• Ability to work and live in a small environment for long periods
• Diploma in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management
• First Aid & CPR certification
• Valid Passport

Preferred Qualifications

• AMSA endorsed Certificate of Safety Training (CoST)
• Crowd Control & Crisis Management training
• AMSA Medical
• AMSA endorsed Marine Cook Certificate
• Australian Seafarers book or equivalent discharge book
