Chauffeur

Responsibilities

• Drive a 12-passenger van to activities and destinations according to schedule
• Assist residents into and out of vehicles safely
• Secure passenger wheelchairs using restraining devices
• Perform vehicle cleaning, fueling, and basic maintenance coordination
• Establish and monitor daily and weekly trip inspection programs
• Deliver groceries and belongings to residents' apartments
• Handle emergency situations and basic First Aid
• Report unsafe conditions to the Executive Director

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• 2 to 5 years of driving experience, preferably with 12-passenger vans
• Commercial driver's license (CDL) required
• Ability to operate 7 to 16 passenger buses, limousines, or cars
• Proficiency with tire changing equipment and wheelchair lifts
• Knowledge of local streets within an 8-mile radius
• Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Compliance with Motor Vehicle Record Policy standards
