Chauffeur

Responsibilities

• Drive EMCO trucks safely following company policy and provincial laws
• Pick up and load customer orders at the profit center
• Securely fasten loads to prevent damage or shifting
• Perform pre-trip truck inspections and report mechanical issues
• Maintain driver logbooks
• Understand shipping documents and GHS chemical labeling
• Deliver products to customer locations and obtain signatures
• Resolve shipment discrepancies with customers
• Identify potential sales opportunities during deliveries

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record
• Previous truck driving and delivery experience preferred
• Knowledge of provincial motor vehicle laws and dangerous goods regulations
• Strong customer relationship skills
• Ability to work effectively under stress or in unexpected situations
• Ability to learn to operate mechanical handling machinery

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of plumbing and construction products
• Experience with M3, Eclipse, Word, Excel, or Outlook
